About Sarah Rees

Before training as a hypnotherapist, I spent many years working in childcare and supporting families. Those experiences gave me a deep understanding of human development, emotional wellbeing, and the importance of feeling heard and understood.

Alongside my professional experience, I hold a First Class Honours degree in Psychology and Criminology (BA Hons), with a specialist focus on religious and political harms relating to gender identity. This area of study deepened my interest in the lasting impact that belief systems, social pressures and trauma can have on an individual's sense of self and wellbeing.

I am qualified with the Hypnotherapy in Practice Diploma (HPD) and the Diploma in Clinical Hypnotherapy (DCH), and I am a member of the National Council for Hypnotherapy (NCH), the National Board for Hypnotherapy (NBFH) and the National Board for Modern Psychotherapy (NBMP). I run Guiding Therapy with care, integrity and a commitment to professional, ethical practice.

I help people with overcoming trauma and fears, weight management, sports performance, menopause, stopping smoking and other addictions, as well as anxiety, stress, low confidence, phobias and sleep difficulties. If you are not sure whether I can help, get in touch and ask.
